Luis Palau

Sharing Good News Around the World

More than four decades after arriving in America from his native Argentina, Luis Palau lives to bring people hope. A featured speaker at Nashville CityFest, his catchy Argentine accent will snag your attention, and his lively, relevant message of good news will not disappoint.

Okay, But Who Is He?
From an early age, Palau has known the fundamental human need for hope and good news. His father died when Luis was only 10. Becoming the family’s sole breadwinner, Luis entered the banking industry, became a successful executive, and later graduated from school in Portland, Oregon, where he met his wife, Patricia. Today they have 4 sons and 10 grandchildren. And they’re living out their mission to share a single powerful message with an entire hurting world.

What Does He Do?
Whether on stage speaking to crowds of a quarter million people; through his daily radio messages heard daily in over 40 countries; or in counsel with leaders from local churches to the White House, Palau has spoken in person to more than 25 million people and consistently remains one of the world’s most effective and compelling spiritual communicators.

Palau Festivals
"A nation will not be moved by timid methods," says Palau, explaining why his free festivals have attracted millions of young people and families of all races and denominations. Having drawn some of the largest festival audiences in recent memory—from 300,000 people in South Florida to 850,000 in South America—each year Palau stages four to eight major festivals in the U.S. and abroad.

These world-class, full multi-media productions feature first-class contemporary music performances, from rock to rap to country to gospel. In partnership with another Palau ministry called "Livin It," the festivals erect a massive skate park in each city that showcases some of the top athletes in the action sports of skateboarding, BMX and motocross. Family fun and entertainment for the younger generation includes the VeggieTales, one of the most popular family video franchises in history.

Finances for the festivals are raised behind the scenes, and financial requests are never asked of the massive crowds. Palau’s team has more than 100 fulltime staff on four continents and thousands of volunteers and local supporters join in as the festival approaches. Palau’s organization is headquartered in Portland, Oregon but his message spans the globe.
