The 20-year-old Southern Festival of Books: A Celebration of the Written Word returns to War Memorial Plaza. The event features more than 200 authors from across the nation. Also, live music, interactive cooking demonstrations, children's events and local food vendors. Festival hours are Friday from noon 6 pm, Saturday from 9 am 6 pm, and Sunday from noon 5 pm.
