Kix Brooks has caused quite a stir.
Last week, Brooks — a CMA board member and half of superstar country duo Brooks & Dunn — warned Nashville business leaders that Nashville’s annual CMA Music Festival is somewhat of a house of cards. The success of the four-day event depends a great deal on its ability to draw big names during peak touring season, but artists who come to perform aren’t paid.
