Celebrate the opening of the Aaron Douglas Exhibition at this free community day.
Douglas was a leading artist of the Harlem Renaissance whose signature style includes silhouetted figures, flat forms and radiating bands of light. Additionally, Douglas was head of
the art department at Fisk University.
This exhibit includes approximately 100 paintings, works on paper and book illustrations. Also, make plans to attend a performance by the Fisk Jubilee Singers at 7:00 pm in the auditorium. This historic, touring a cappella choral ensemble was
founded in 1871 at Fisk University.

Dancing with the Stars
