Nashville Crawfish Boil

For the past 20 years one of the year’s biggest events in Birmingham has been the Crawfish Boil, an outdoor music festival that also was spiced by the presence of some 20,000 pounds of fresh crawfish from Louisiana. Now the event makes its debut in Nashville Friday and Saturday at Riverfront Park with the first annual Nashville Crawfish Boil. Among the participants will be the Oklahoma five-member band Hinder, whose tune “Lips of An Angel” shot to the top of the pop charts earlier this year. They’ll be joined by longtime rock/pop stars Cheap Trick, whose lengthy string of hits includes “The Flame,” “Dream Police,” “Surrender” and “I Want You To Want Me.” This is a two-day event.

Shows begin:
4 p.m. Friday, May 11
1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 12
