This past Saturday we went to The Picnic Cafe in Belle Meade for lunch. It was a really good place with delicious food. It is very flowery and light in its interior design and reminds me of a tea room but it is more than that.
I tried a ham and swiss sandwich which was very fresh and delicious and I also had a bowl of curried broccoli cheese soup which was also very tasty and a nice change from your typical soup offerings that most restaurants have. We also had creamed chicken (served on cornbread) and a cold cucumber sandwich and it was all so very good.
It is family friendly and is a nice change of pace and taste from other restaurants.
