Mint Julep recipe from Webbspun Ideas

2 cups water
Sprigs of fresh mint
Crushed ice
Kentucky Bourbon
Silver Julep Cup or just a nice glass
Make a simple syrup by boiling sugar and water together for five minutes. Cool and place in a covered container with six or eight sprigs of fresh mint, then refrigerate overnight. Make one julep at a time by filling a julep cup with crushed ice, adding one tablespoon mint syrup and two ounces of Kentucky Whisky or Bourbon. Stir rapidly with a spoon to frost the outside of the cup. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint.

A Quick Taste of the Beer Tasting
Excuse the talking about the cheese but do be envious if you weren't there because the beer was really good and they offered some good variety. It was a very fun but relaxed atmosphere with people sampling, talking, mingling and just enjoying the social scene.

Petrus Dubbel Bruin - $15.99/4 pk
A dark ale with a subtle caramel flavor.
Petrus Gouden Tripel - $10.99/750 ml
Smooth, rich and golden. Perfect as an aperitif - or with desserts.
Ettaler Curator Doppelbock - $4.99/500 ml
A dark, complex German beer with figs, cherry, raisin and toffee flavors.
Fort Collins Double Chocolate Stout - $6.99/650 ml

As Robin Williams once put it: 'Penang me, Penang me, get a rope and hang me,'

Penang, Pulau Pinang is where I have had many visitors stop in the last couple of days. They are looking at the post about the world's largest cross.

~~I know this is not exactly what Robin Williams said in the movie "Good Morning Vietnam" but it sounds just like it and I found it to be funny~~
