Free Admission at the Frist Center for Visual Arts



FREE Admission for everyone and other great deals!

The Tennessean's Ms. Cheap's gives us all great advice on how to pinch our pennies. We want to celebrate great deals with a Ms. Cheap Appreciation Day at the Frist. Join us on August 7 and meet Ms. Cheap in person and take advantage of FREE admission and other great deals:
  • FREE admission to the Frist all day
  • Ms. Cheap will be at the Frist from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and will be available in the auditorium to talk about how to stay cheap and answer visitors' questions.
  • Enjoy a Ms. Cheap lunch special in the Frist Center Cafe: Grilled chicken breast with a black bean and pineapple salsa and chipotle mashed potatoes, all for $5 (drink not included).
  • 25% discounts on all posters, earrings and tote bags in the Frist Center Gift Shop

Celebrate the opening of the Aaron Douglas Exhibition at this free community day.
Douglas was a leading artist of the Harlem Renaissance whose signature style includes silhouetted figures, flat forms and radiating bands of light. Additionally, Douglas was head of
the art department at Fisk University.
This exhibit includes approximately 100 paintings, works on paper and book illustrations. Also, make plans to attend a performance by the Fisk Jubilee Singers at 7:00 pm in the auditorium. This historic, touring a cappella choral ensemble was
founded in 1871 at Fisk University.

Dancing with the Stars
