Hard Rock Cafe in Nashville to spend millions on renovations
Hard Rock Cafe is planning an estimated $4 million renovation of its downtown Nashville restaurant, turning its second floor into a music venue for live shows or parties.

Cordia Harrington, CEO, Nashville Bun Company and husband Tom of Nashville were in attendance at President Bush's farewell speech last night.
Cordia Harrington is the CEO of the Nashville Bun Company, and her husband Tom serves as the company’s Chief Operating Officer. The President visited the Nashville Bun Company on July 19, 2007, at the invitation of Mrs. Harrington, who has earned the nickname “The Bun Lady.” The Nashville Bun Company is one of five companies founded by Cordia Harrington under her management company, The Tennessee Bun Companies.

Jazz Cafe at the Standard- September 25
The Standard Restaurant having ended its popular summer long food and wine pairing is pleased to announce the start of a new Thursday night event they are calling The Jazz Café. The Café, to begin on September 25th at 7:00 will feature a live Jazz trio headlining Annie Sellick. The $20 ticket price includes a 2 hour concert and 2 wine and food pairings unique to each week’s event.

The Standard Restaurant and Chef Joe Shaw in conjunction with Horizon Wines and Raymond Merlo of R. Merlo Estate Vineyards presents the first annual fall wine dinner at The Standard Restaurant on
September 18th at 6:30 pm. R. Merlo, a California winery lies in a remote river valley hidden amongst the inter-costal mountains of Northern California. Drastic temperature changes from between 90 degrees and 40 degrees nightly result in a rich and complex tannin structure that gives the wines strong backbone. It is against the backdrop of these full bodied and lush red wines that Chef Joe proposes his menu.
