Best Breakfast Buffet in Nashville; 2 Rivers Grille, Nashville Airport Marriott

Now the secret is out! We have eaten there over the years many, many times and always enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the service. The 2 Rivers Grille is not serving your typical "hotel" food. Take the family or some friends out there for breakfast and sit back, relax and enjoy.
~Corey

Visit the Nashville Airport Marriott for info about rooms and their breakfast their website.

For most eaters, the words "breakfast buffet" conjure up soupy eggs, withered bacon and grease-swimming potatoes languishing in steam-table hell—perfect fare for a dinner-theater production of Glengarry Glen Ross in Snakebite, Ala. At this plush hotel restaurant high on a hill off Elm Hill Pike, however, you'll find omelet and Belgian waffle stations, smoked salmon with capers, and fat sausage links along with the requisite biscuits, bacon and grits. The cost: a reasonable $14.95. Think of this semi-swanky smorgasbord (a Mother's Day must in my household) as an upgrade—Shoney's without the whiff of bus-depot purgatory. —JIM RIDLEY

Nashville Seeing Growing Success Despite Country's Recession Worries

In a time where a slowing economy is on everyone's mind, Nashville continues to see positive travel industry growth.

Tourists and business travelers continue to flock to the famous Music City, notes Butch Spyridon, President of the Nashville Convention and Visitor's Bureau (CVB).

"Nashville is in a great position to minimize any impact from an economic downturn,' says Spyridon. 'Our diverse economy has created a very stable economic environment--health care, automotive, education, government, music and hospitality are all significant economic engines for the area. In addition, we are experiencing one of our best sales years ever and have just received initial approval for a new $600 million downtown convention center."

From the perspective of a Nashville airport hotel, the Nashville Airport Marriott continues to steady increase in group proposals through the CVB.

'We've seen a 148% increase in the number of group bookings we saw in January, verses the same time last year,' notes Jim Kintzler, Director of Sales and Marketing at the Nashville Airport Marriott. 'In addition to draw of the Nashville market overall, our clients are very pleased with our multi million dollar renovation and once again we rank in the top 10% of all North American Marriott hotels in guest satisfaction. We're proud to show our guests the kind of hospitality for which Nashville is known."

There's no wonder that even in the midst of a time when travelers are hesitant about spending money on hotels, dining and travel, the Airport Marriott's Nashville accommodations are booked, and out-of-towners are happily experiencing all that Nashville has to offer.

A Visitor Spends a Weekend in Nashville

I met gentleman today, from Texas, who was flown in to go to the Titans/Texans game. He is in the tire industry and was a guest of a major tire company here in Nashville. They provided him with a room at the Downtown Hilton on Saturday night and found out that he had a suite. He was happy to hear that and as he walked in he noticed the television on and tuned to a college football game.

At this point he decides that this is the life and he loves the pampering that he is receiving. As he goes further into the suite he finds a "gorgeous blonde standing there half nude" and that really threw him for a loop. He now begins to wonder if the company had provided her as well when she slowly turned and looked at him, his eyes gazing and admiring her "amazing breasts" and said "I think you have the wrong room." At about the same time she covered her breasts and at that point he realized that he wasn't welcome to stay in her room.

He goes back downstairs a little disappointed that he met such a stunningly beautiful woman and couldn't spend a little time with her. He resigns himself up to his room and tries to rest because he is excited about going to the game Sunday.

He watches the game from the company suite of the big tire company and loved every minute of it, even though he is a Cowboys fan. He said he had the time of his life at the game.

Sunday night he went to the Airport Marriott and even though it is in a quiet part of Nashville, he enjoyed himself and said that he had never slept on a more comfortable bed in his life.

So as he prepared to leave Nashville with so many wonderful memories still fresh on his mind....he just couldn't get the blonde bombshell off of his mind. Poor guy, must've felt like a kid in a candy store who could only look at the candy before being kicked out of the store.
