Beyonce is working on an album of country and western songs.
The Bootylicious singer has enlisted the help of award winning singer/songwriter Amanda Ghost - the genius behind James Blunt‘s smash hit You’re Beautiful - for the project.
She decided to go for it after testing out her new sound by singing a surprise country version of her hit Irreplaceable at the American Music Awards in LA last weekend.
The former Destiny’s Child star performed the reworked song with US country duo Sugarland.
A show source said: “Beyonce wants to try something completely different.
“She’s a fan of country music and thought that would be an interesting and exciting way to go.
“She tested the water at the American Music Awards and she is up for it. She contacted Amanda early this week and she is going over to work with her on it.”
