Thunder over Louisville story and videos from the Courier-Journal newspaper
"It's Louisville's Mardi Gras," said Bordelon, who sat along the Ohio River floodwall with her family taking in yesterday's air show and waiting for the fireworks to light up the sky at Thunder Over Louisville.

Bordelon was among an estimated 350,000 people who braved a chilly, dreary day to kick off the Kentucky Derby Festival, which leads to the Run for the Roses on May 3. It was a much smaller crowd than usual, with 800,000 turning out for the show last year.

How I began a new year in Germany

Fireworks were set off all throughout the city of Bayreuth, Germany and up on the hill overlooking the city.

I've been around some cool firework shows but this was something like I had never experienced before.

To be in the very middle of all that celebrating and festivity was unbelievable.
This photos can only give a small idea of what it was like.

Goodbye Old Friend: The Loss of the Stardust Hotel and Casino
Some video of the implosion of the Stardust Hotel and Casino. Lots of cool video, pictures and memories that hopefully will not be forgotten.
A nice respectful look at Stardust before it came down.
